Pediatrics
What is Pediatrics?
A pediatrician is a doctor who focuses on keeping kids healthy, from newborns to young adults. Their care often starts at birth and can continue until the patient is ~21. Pediatricians are experts in not just treating illnesses but also in preventing them and helping kids navigate physical, emotional, and developmental challenges as they grow up. They build lasting relationships with families, offering guidance on everything from nutrition and vaccines to behavioral concerns and adolescent health. Their goal is to support children through every stage of their development, ensuring they grow up strong, healthy, and ready to face the world.
What can pediatricians sub-specialize in?
