A proctologist are colon and rectal surgeons they treat issues like polyps or colon cancer. The main difference between proctologist and gastroenterologist is the procedures they perform to treat these conditions. A proctologist are surgeons that take care of colon and rectal conditions like polyps or colon cancer.

Colon polyps & cancer are tumors found within the lining of the colon or rectum. More often common with age and usually are benign.

Hepatitis is liver inflammation resulting from bacterial infections and may be fatal.

Colitis is the swelling of the large intestine due to infection, food poisoning, and more.

Gastrointestinal reflux also known as GERD is when stomach contents move to esophagus which may affect the esophagus, pharynx, and respiratory tract.

Pancreatitis is the swelling of the pancreas which occur when the enzymes attack the pancreas due to alcohol abuse or gallstones. There are two types acute and chronic pancreatitis.
