Orthopedic Surgery is a specialty that takes care of musculoskeletal conditions and pain of all ages. Orthopedic surgeons promote the diagnosis, treatment, and prevent of illnesses that involve in the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.
Most people see orthopedic surgery when they have a broken bones with varying fractures and for intense pain or other symptoms such as immobility, severe bleeding, and more. Most orthopedic surgeons treat the following:
sport injuries
carpal tunnel, hand arthritis, & hand injuries
osteoporosis
bone tumors
achilles tendon injuries
Often, they work hand in hand with physical therapy for rehabilitation post-surgery.

Osteoporosis is a bone disease where bone density decreases that furthermore affects structure and bone strength. Individuals with condition are more susceptible to fractures.
Bone Tumor is where bone cells constantly divide creating abnormal tissue mass. This can further affect the center of the bone called bone marrow.
Achilles tendon injuries occur when the fibrous band of tissue that connects heel and calf muscle is strained or damaged. It's flexibility affects jumping, running, and walking.
